Great communication and experience

Marcos was very helpful & communicative via WhatsApp in setting up board rental, lessons and inquiries about additional items. Jost Matarrita was an excellent surf instructor, he taught me numerous new skills and tips even though I have been a beginner/intermediate surfer for a few years. He was very friendly and spoke english well. Would book with him/them again!

I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Marcos from You Are Costarica!! Marcos picked us on time from our hotel. Myself and my two boys had a great time and he had both of them up surfing no problem right away! They are 6 and 10. He was very helpful and made it fun while giving great tips. Thanks for a wonderful experience!!

Marco Surf School was an all around great experience! They were very patient and understanding. They took the time to make sure we truly understood how to surf and very helpful. Marco gave us a great deal on the lessons and made it just an amazing time!

We had a blast! Erickson was a great teacher. He was fun, patient and helpful. Playa Grande was a perfect spot for beginners. We surfed 4-6p so we got a bonus sunset surf. So amazingly beautiful. Marcos was great, the whole experience was fun. Surfing is all my kids (ages 15 & 11) want to do the rest of our vacation!! The shop provides boards and rash guards & a fresh water rinse when you are done. We would highly recommend this experience with You Are Costa Rica. They are top notch!

Marcos was the absolute best surf instructor our family has ever had! He was great at explaining everything, calm - which made us less nervous and very informative. We have surfed in various countries and this was the best experience!! Thank you for a great day.

We have grown from beginners to intermediate surfers under Marco's attentive coaching. We highly recommend surfing with him and his team regardless of your age, abilities, size, and experience. Our son is 20 years old and we are in our 50's. I wish we could post a video here!
